Trains in Britain do not require Seat Reservations. Services are often quite frequent on all lines except rural routes. With a UK Rail Pass you have great flexibility at all times when choosing your itinerary! Touring Britain with any UK Rail Pass is so easy!
Despite this, there are times when we do recommend reserving a seat in advance. During the ‘rush hours’ of course and if you are doing a long trip (e.g. London to Edinburgh) and when you know exactly the train you want to travel on.
We also recommend seat reservations on Bank Holidays, Fridays and Sunday evenings can also be busier too. In addition, if you are traveling with other people and want to make sure you sit together, it is a good idea to reserve a seat in advance.
Reserve a seat.
Note: Many trains to not offer Seat Resevations (e.g. commuter, rural and regional services)

Airport Trains
Airport trains (also known as airport express trains) serve as a dedicated high-speed rail link between major airports and their corresponding cities. London Heathrow, Rome Fiumicino and Toronto Pearson International are just a few of the many airports around the globe that use an express train service.
Most departures are only 15 minutes apart with a journey length of 30 minutes or less.
This makes the airport train the quickest and most convenient method of transportation to and from the air terminal. In the city itself, a centrally-located train station is well-connected with metro, bus and taxi services, so you don’t lose any time getting on with your travels!
Why Travel by Airport Express Train?
Fast and efficient, express trains provide a reliable means of getting to the airport right on schedule!
Daily departures are frequent and prompt – every 15 minutes on average in each direction.
Both city and airport stations feature a number of on-site facilities to help keep your travel experience running smoothly. Generally, you’ll have access to free WiFi, ATM machines, pay phones, tourist information kiosks, cafés, restaurants, shops, restrooms and assistance for disabled passengers.

Standard Class
Offers economical travel in a comfortable, quality seat.

Offers upgraded travel in quieter, more relaxed atmosphere. Seats are larger, providing superior comfort and plenty of extra elbow and leg room. On select train lines, enjoy complimentary newspapers and magazines, plus access to certain First Class lounges.
